Great Black-backed Gull
Just got back from Acadia National Park on Mt. Desert Island, ME. Here's a Great-Black-backed Gull that was lounging on one of the many pink granite blocks at the pull-out viewing areas. This gull did not mind people at all. I had to back way up to take the photos with a telephoto lens. Acadia is full of Great Black-backed Gulls, our largest NA gull and very handsome. Such a treat to see so many of them.More on our trip coming soon. We had a great time.
