Some people stop feeding birds during this time. But it is a time when almost all of the winter food — seeds, berries, etc. are depleted, so it's a hard time for birds. We feed birds all year so it avoids this problem. Plus, we get the fun of seeing birds bring their young to the feeders in spring and summer.
